We have been in touch with our partner NGOs about their needs during the COVID-19 pandemic. We compiled a range of opportunities through which students can help from home.

One of the biggest challenges that many nonprofits face is mobilizing university students to support their mission as part of their long-term sustainability strategy.  To this end, Connect & Care has worked tirelessly to promote Kenya Education Fund (KEF). 

 

We recently had a wonderful experience with a group of Connect & Care users from Northwestern University who volunteered to review the scholarship application forms of Kenyan students applying for KEF Scholarships.  I was wholly impressed with their professionalism and reliability, and KEF is grateful to Connect & Care for connecting these students to KEF's mission.

How it works

1. You fill out our matching form on our website.

Getting started is so simple, all you need is your phone! After texting us, you immediately get opted into our service and receive messages straight from us

(no bots allowed).

2. You receive your volunteering match from us and your onboarding materials.

When we hear about exciting volunteer events, you’re the first to know. We tell you about the event, organization or non-profit involved, and whom you’re working with while making event registration seamless for you.

3. You engage with our campus, Evanston, and Chicago!

Once registered for an event, all you need to do is show up! Some of our texts will be about long-term opportunities, others will be for one time events. After each experience, we’ll send you a text to hear your feedback about working with our non-profit partners.

4. You learn about the next opportunity to get involved in!
